I'M Still Breathing, No Thanks To You

Remember how you said,
I would never make it?
Remember how you bragged
I would not survive?

I might be a bit battered
I might be a bit bruised
The mirror don't lie
It uncovers the lies

I walked away with just my clothes on my back
I walked away with my pride intact

You have stolen my innocence
You have stolen my humanness
But you did not break my spirit
You did not break me,

I can still keep my head up high
I don't have to hide behind dark glasses
Today I look the world in the eyes,
embracing a new life without
the unexpected brutality that
came with you when you entered my life…

well, I am glad to hear it's not personal. You really described it well, my dear. I was up all night doing my new contest with blog. BOy, it came out like crap over there with lines under all the words. It makes me so mad that I can't change it to normal. SEe ya! Luv, Andrea ps And look who is not fickle anymore!!
