I’m Sorry to Say
I’m sorry to say
red cardinals don’t live
in the evergreen state
unless a migration
has lost its way.
My husband was not lost
when he came to Washington,
he never missed North Carolina,
except for those red birds~
Sadly, I’ve never seen one.
