You're hurt
it's my fault.
I talked to your eyes
they told me you've been crying.
You can tell
I love you less, less, less
because you're old.
It's awful but its true.
I'm awful but I'm honest.
I'm thinking of all the times
I'd come home crying
and you'd sit next to me
and cuddle me.
Even when I was a crying mess
you never, not once, loved me less.
Feel like everything in my life
is growing old and dying
and you were just one more reminder.
Yes you are old
and I am selfish.
So I'm gonna love you more.
More than I have, more than you know.
Why did I let
you get so bad off
before I held
you and showed you my love?
