I'M Sorry I'M Sorry

I try and I try
But I can't catch a break
I cry and I cry
For time lost its too late

I think and I think
But I can't find a way
I blink and I blink
Dripping tears down my face

I scream and I scream
For the pain to be gone
I dream and I dream
Of this battle it's long

I work and I work
To be part of your life
I hurt and I hurt
Wanting to be by your side

I fail and I fail
Are the feelings I have
I tell and I tell
Myself I'm a bad dad

I choke and I choke
Wishing that's not the truth
I hope and i hope
You see how much I love you

I shove and I shove
Away the hurt that I have
I love and I love
You to the moon and back

Written 12-29-18

Dedicated to my son Noah. The best son a dad could ask for. This is my most personal and vunerabal peice I've written.

Also a message to single dad's. It's hard but don't ever give up. A bond between a child and father is unbreakable.
