I'm sorry I'm autistic

I'm sorry I'm autistic,
That I don't fit your expectations,
I'm different, I know,
But that doesn't mean I don't belong.

I may rock,
I may cry,
But I try and try,
To be normal in a world full of expectations.

But I'm different,
I know,
So I'll make my own normal.

I'm sorry I'm autistic,
But I will never change.

I’ll echo Deb’s words Ashley. Why on earth should you apologise? Welcome to Poetry Soup. Cheers - Gary

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
