I'M Sorry

The draining berth of this weighs
on an already troubled heart
longing for the touch of yesterday
I can feel you breath

I do not mistrust you
you are the one so dear
sometimes your scent awakens me
and your face is all so clear

Wrong is the song we sing
a hapless verse of common mistakes
raining now the slate wipes clean
once more I dare to dream

Listen to our forgotten voice
together we are are one
apart cracks an open sorrow
and we drift alone

Forgive the foolish man
on my knees with open hands
I know I am not perfect
but I am deeply sorry....

I love you
