I'M Sorry

I'm sorry that I am not the one for you.
One day the right person will get the position.
I was hoping and praying that the person would have been me.
I found out no matter how diligently I tried to make it work,
That you and me, me and you, was not meant to be.

It's entirely my fault: I'm the one to blame.
First being around you made feel ashamed.
But after being with you in private made all of my feelings show.
That's why I was so angry when I asked for commitment and you replied no.
I hope that you'll find someone as sweet as me.
Maybe then you will agree that the thing that you'll share is meant to be.

I probably won't take you back,
Because I know that in your priorities I will always be put last.
There is always something therapeutic about the past.
It should never be relived.
I should give myself to the future, which is a true gift.
