I'M Sorry

I hope you can forgive me, for walking right on by I decided not to look and I never questioned why I chose the simple path, that was easier for me I’m sorry I didn’t stop, I’m sorry I didn’t see I passed you on the street and ignored your broken heart I’m sorry I passed you by when you were falling all apart It’s taken many years, but now I see and understand The hurt I caused your soul and how your basic rights were banned It was I who caused your pain, so you stayed behind closed doors I wish I could change the past and help to heal your sores I’m sorry I wasn’t there in your darkest hour of life I’m sorry I let you down and brought about such strife I beg you for forgiveness, I was blind but now I see I want to be a part of your world if only you’ll let me be I have a debt to pay, for the tears that I have brought Please give me one more shot, if you find it in your heart

I'm sure we all have someone we could feel this way about, asking for forgiveness. You've written a great letter of apology, Mark.

It's an apology letter to all of the unfortunate people I've passed by over my life and never helped. Thanks Jenna
