I'M Somebody

I’m somebody! Who are you?
Are you somebody too?
Then there’s a pair of us – do tell!
We must advertise – you know!

How dreary to be nobody!
More worthless than a frog
Who without a name - croaks all day
To be a bump on a log!

I just luv this one, Lainie, its so cute and inquisitive .. adorable introspection.. thankxxx for sharing and for commenting on my music ability.. its just as dear to me as my poetry... I had visions of publication at one time but the singer I wanted was committed to Gospel music only way back then.. his was the only voice with so much depth I could see singing my words... though years have passed I still have hope.. your comments are always uplifting.. Great adaption of one of my favorite Dickinson poems. I think she was expressing her angst in her poem and you put a clever twist on it, Lainie! Well done! Love, carolyn

Wonderful adaptation from "what a bore it must be boasting the livelong day like a public frog." Amazing! And the crux of this piece comes across astoundingly well. This is pure genius.I have honestly never seen this done to a poem before. That is not an easy task to perform and you did it masterfully. Sincerely,Eric
