I'm Shining--Just For You

If I were any prettier—
Well, I just couldn’t stand it.
Yet, you won’t pay me any mind.
Look at me. I demand it!

Night after night, you sit outside
romancing your fair lover.
While you remain oblivious
bright gems above you hover.

Oh, now you’re waltzing on the lawn.
Your next move is quite thrilling.
While gazing up, you smile at ME!
It seems I’ve earned top billing
just for this moment. From afar,
I’m proud to be your beaming star.
