I'M Ready

I'm ready To leave the wounds of my past Far away From the promises of my tomorrow, Held by the one Who saved my every sorrow. I'm ready To break the wall of chains And defeat the monsters that tear me up inside For it's time for this battle to cease And for my soul To attain victory at last. I'm ready To take the tears bounded by my fears And bottle them up For they belong in the streams of lost dreams. So, With the turn of the calendar, I kiss the pain of yesterday goodbye And say hello to the beauty of time and new beginnings For I know my future is bright Since the one who created the sun and stars Is in control of it all.
