I'M Not Vain

Let me start off by saying, I'm not vain.
Says the woman who just posted a
     'selfie'.
Is my identity wrapped up in a 'selfie?
A picture which displays a side of me
     that I approve.
Can a 'selfie' uncover my true character,
     or anything real about me?
A 'selfie' has no more real substance than
     the internet?
I'm not vain
I may not be terribly original.
I may be a little self-centered,
     but I'm not vain.
I am like everybody else,
     but not vain.
Says the person who just posted another
     'selfie'
