I'M Not Good Enough
I've tried to be the person
You think I should be.
But we both know,
I'll never be good enough.
I wish,
For just once,
To make you proud.
I cant change the past,
I cant make things right.
I wonder if you know,
How I hate myself.
I'm not perfect.
And I'm sorry that what I do,
Isn't good enough for you.
Every time you turn away,
I feel like I've failed you.
I know I'm not the mom you want,
But I cant change who I am.
I'm never going to be the mom you love,
It just isn't going to happen.
I'm never going to be good enough,
No matter how hard I try ...
Or how hard I cry.
