I'M Not a Poet
I wanted to say sorry for my intrusion
Into this world of fantasy and confusion.
Reading and writing was never my game
Only for women I ever took aim.
That was until about five months back
When I realized morals I did lack.
I picked up a pen and a pad
I tried to tell you my life was sad.
Yes I had it ruff, but haven't we all
The strongest souls get up after a fall.
I was a sham, less than half a man
If you came at me I f***ing ran.
My emotions have come full circle on me
I think this really is meant to be.
My hate as all but gone away
I guess "thank you" I wanted to say.
Whether I run or stand is yet to be seen
On fighting I have never been keen.
I'm not quite done, I'm still working on me
To be the best that I can be.
As long as I'm better than yesterday
At least I'm trying I can say.
I never knew what Couplet meant
Now I'm finding it heaven sent.
Maybe I am a poet?
And only now I'm showing it
