I'M Losing It

I’m losing it
This life in a prism drains
Every place I turn
 A new face to show
I’m losing it
The sense of who I am
I spin in circles
Being who they need me to be
I’m losing it
Remembering that once
I was true
That I showed you
I’m losing it
What I was
Even though I knew
You would see a monster
But you were the same
To my surprise
I’m losing it
You treated me
As a kind companion
Not a circus spectacle
Not as I deserved, even
As I dreamed, perhaps
And I’m losing it
