I'M Just Trying To Be Me
I'm not trying to be anything that I'm not
My mind is the best thing that I've got.
Just because I didn't finish school
Understand me when I say "I'm no fool".
Stuck in my mind for all this time
Truth is, I can't sing but I can rhyme.
Trying to express myself and get it out of my mind
Rapping is similar I do find.
You'll only understand if you open your heart
In the music goes and the feelings start.
Never alone because my soul has grown
Growing and changing I'm heading into the unknown.
To a place I never thought I'd see
Opening the door was always my destiny.
Beautiful things I hope to find
Evil has always clouded my mind.
Maybe you can see that I am still learning
Everyday I grown, for that place my soul is yearning.
