I'M Just Getting Started
You hear I've been workin' hard
slavin' away, word by word
you imagine, how far I've gotten but
I'm just gettin' started.
Breathin' life into their world
shapin' each and every thing
Weavin' a tale, tying the ends up
but I'm just gettin' started.
Goin' back, fillin' in the holes
Making sure each plot line has a smooth, clean road
The story flows, like a river full of toads
but I'm just gettin' started.
Brick to brick, mortar to mortar,
Findin' a publisher, makin' a quarter.
You'd think I'm through, but I'll tell the truth to you-
I'm just gettin' started.
