I'm Jealous of Myself
I had too much to give you
My car it broke right down
You know I can't forgive you
For making me walk all the way across
This godforsaken town
I'm jealous of myself
I'm jealous of myself
I'm jealous of myself
'cause I can't have me
The dog is scratching at the door
The monkey's causing trouble
There's blood in the water
I just know it's your daughter
The backyard is covered in bubbles
She's jealous of herself
She's jealous of herself
She's jealous of herself
Now that she's happy
Did you go to therapy
To find out who you are
Is that cost-effective personality
Too near or far
It's bedlam until sunrise
It's boredom until dusk
And now do you dare to stare
In the elephant's eyes
For want of the tusk
You're jealous of yourself
You're jealous of yourself
You're jealous of yourself
And so's your family
