I'M In Love With a Memory

I'm in love with a memory
and you love just the thought of me
the idea of a woman by you
who can hear your thoughts.

I'm in love with the touch of your skin
and you ask what I think of your kin
freeze the fire that burns inside
fasting daily away from  me.

What is it, baby, 
that keeps you away?

that will set you free?

I've been praying hard for you
turn my flames into songs for you,
I've been hoping you'll wake up soon
see the tears i have cried for you.
