I'M Here
You don't like it in the shadows
but you're blinded by the sun;
how do we get past the twilight hours
when life exceeds all it has begun?
Close your eyes,
shade the rays from your face
we are bound by the unspoken ties
that have led us to this time and place.
Hold me in your arms
let all else just disappear
I am captive to your sad and happy charms
do not fear, I am always here.
Call my name when you're afraid
I'll never be far away
never question why I stayed
it's me and you, yesterday, tomorrow and today.
