I'M Going To Be Me

I hate being what you want me to be I want to do things my way In the simplest terms, I want to be me I'm not a model or famous star I'll never be either of those by far I'm happy being what I am The dorky girl who loves to jam You can't make me change I know people think I'm weird, maybe even strange Why do what people expect? Then your own identity you've worked to build is wrecked It's pointless trying to be something you're not Because sooner or later you always get caught I'll always remain true to myself And put that old disguise back on it's shelf I'll never be what you want me to be Who I am is my choice And I'm going to be me!
