Eileen Manassian Poet Couplet

I'M Going Away

I’m going away for a while
Life seems to have stolen my smile

Some of you I will miss so much
Maybe later we’ll get in touch

In Cyprus my daughter I'll see
T'will bring joy to sorry old me

I won’t have much time to be here
But some of you I’ll still hold dear

I seem to have lost some desire
Due to the mishap with the “fire”

Not so proud of what I have done
So I’ll escape to have some fun

My heart is made of marshmallow
Bruises by gal or by fellow

Don’t worry, it’s just for a time
Maybe later I’ll try to rhyme

But for now, it is surely goodbye
Hope to see you all by and by.
