I'm Glad I Didn't Break Your Heart
I'm glad I didn't break your heart
The way you tore mine clean apart.
I could've lied, I could've played,
But I just watched you drift away.
I stayed up nights with hollow dreams,
While you stitched lies in silent seams.
You walked away without a care,
And left me drowning in the air.
I held my ground, I kept it true,
But I still bled because of you.
You gave me scars you couldn’t see,
But I’m glad I didn’t make you bleed.
I could’ve crushed you, could’ve won,
But chose to be the better one.
Now I’m a ghost in my own skin,
Wishing I had hurt you back then.
