I'M Chicken

I’m chicken. Yeah, chicken.
And I don’t mean finger lickin’.
She wants me to commit,
But I’m not ready yet;
‘Cause I’m chicken.  Chicken.

Told her how I feel.
I think our love is real,
But I’m chicken. Chicken.

Oh, I know how it sounds;
But this boy’s been around.
And I been in love before
You can bet, I know the score.
That’s why I’m chicken. Chicken.

Told her how I feel.
I think our love is real,
But I'm chicken.  Chicken.

The others all said they'd be true.
They just didn’t say to who.
I got tired of all the lies
So it should come as no surprise
That I’m chicken. Chicken.

She wants me to commit,
But I’m just not ready yet;
‘Cause I’m chicken.  Chicken.

Told her how I feel.
I think our love is real,
But I’m chicken. Chicken.

G'day Janice … in this case Janice, being chicken means you're not foolish - well done - Lindsay
