I'M Alone I Am

I'm alone I am;
gone he is.

I'm still alive I found out;
I'm pacing myself.

Doin' the best I can.
I can't do more than I can I can't.

The time slip away sure does.

It reminds me of a verse of great eighteenth century poet Mirza Ghalib which I have translated thus: Ghalib scale the anguish's sphere.
