I'm a Humble Poem

I sit high on your bookshelf,
but you can't say I speak for myself.
I'm so bashful and so humble,
all I ever do is mumble.
Other poems reach for the sky.
I look at the ground and sigh,
forever alone, unread and lost
between E. A. Poe and Robert Frost.

I've really been enjoying your poem and the emotions and imagery were so vivid that i could easily picture them as beautiful illustration. I'm a commission-based manga/webtoon artist, and I’d love to discuss the possibility of bringing this poem to life if you're ever interested. Very clever, David. I like your wit and this “humble” poem, as well!
