I'M a Coward

I'm a coward
Not for running from a fight
Or failing to do what's right
But I'm a coward

I'm a wuss
Not for getting upset
Or for not placing a bet
But I'm a wuss

I'm fearful
Not of demons or werewolves so hairy
Not of vampires or other creatures so scary
But I'm fearful

I'm scared
Not of drowning or flying
Not of freezing or dying
But I'm scared

I'm a coward for not being able to speak just a couple of words
I'm a wuss for not being willing to ask you a question
I'm fearful of the pain that one answer may bring
I'm scared of the chance the other answer may bring

I'm a coward cause I can't force myself to tell you I think you're great
I'm a wuss cause your laugh brings a smile to my face and I won't tell you
I'm fearful cause I enjoy hearing you talk about your passion and your story
I'm scared cause I assume that the answer is no and I don't know what to do if it's not

I'm a coward cause I will just let things fade
I'm a wuss cause I'm just going to force myself to move on
I'm fearful cause what if I'm wrong
I'm scared cause what if I'm right

I'm a coward cause I'm not going to show this to you
I'm a wuss cause I'm not going to tell you I Iike you.
I'm fearful of taking a risk
I'm scared of being intentional

I'm a coward
