Illusion

Amid a multitude of thoughts she stood  
Screamed at some, gave in for few
amid barking feelings she could
Raise her voice but for just a few 
seconds before her weakness uttered 
words that made her heart cry out
She could see her strength shudder
and feel that all what she has sought 
the aim of being invincible, has gone 
the pursuit of freedom, has vanished
The long for happiness has none 
of its effects on her dejected 
self that gave in for nothing 
self that almost had everything…
