Illumination
Dreams come in small thoughts
rummaging around the old attic
dust bunny's territory
soon becomes an Avery
dive bombing puffy birdies,
smotheringly float
they get right in my face
as if to gloat,
determining the mood of the moment
determining the time table of my resistance
luggage here and there
weighing down the process,
lying awake thinking til the pounding starts
dreams come and blossoms
into micro bursts causing pain
Tylenol comes to the rescue
we are wanters,
human nature is the nature of wanting
what decision to make has an effect
affect the total of my morning
troubling me over my moaning
there lies the thoughts
that lay upon the pillow
beside me
so lies the evaluations
so lies the eliminations.
