Illumination

Bright golden moon,
Behind the clouds,
Between the stars,
In the pitch black of night,
Suspended in the sky,
So close yet so far away,
Lighting up the night,
The moon leaves by dawns early light.

The sun appears,
One from the dark,
One from the light,
Will they never meet?,
The eclipse is their time,
For a few short minutes,
Sun and moon face together,
All to soon they part,
Like lovers lost lost in time and space
