I'Ll Wait

If you are my kindred
I'll wait

If our paths are meant to cross again
When destiny finally unfolds
No more wondering and questioning
Just spelled out straight
Crystal clear

If you are my beloved, betrothed
I'll wait
When I get this funny ache inside
Is that a sign
Urging me forward to you?

Your hopes & dreams
Meshing perfectly with mine
Until you can't separate
The intricacy
Designed by God specially for us
Twisting together in time
To a beautiful love
As the dainty pattern of a rhyme

It's hard waiting
Not knowing what's in store
For us together
Why don't we get a road map
For easy navigation
Through life

God, if you will just show me
That is what you had in mind for us
At the beginning of our lives
I'll gladly be patient
Till it's time
