I'Ll See You When We Get There

I'd rather keep my shyness
And if possible, add a pinch of hostility
I want to stay submerged
Where I know me, I see me, pain free me
I'll deal with you from where I am
And from here, we can take it there

Am tired of the publicity stunts
Am tired of working overtime to please
I will stay alone with my one true friend
Am tired of always watching my back
If only I was nineteen again...with my current mindset
But am not, never again

With my little knowledge and wisdom
I want to make my years right
Your choice to be with me, or not to be
I'll just be me
I'll focus my time finding the hidden treasures

Relationships are such a pain in the posterior and when you've had a good one the thought of venturing into the whirlpool of vague crap is daunting, but staying alone is so sad. Better sad than with a selfish arrogant double talking prat, please excuse the vernacular. Hugz Ian
