I'll Never Be Back

I’ll never be back.

It’s 3.30am when I write this,
And I’m crying and burning, feeling like I’m falling into the abyss,
I’m one second away from spiraling out of control,
This is nothing but a cry out for help from a tortured soul.

One year has passed and I thought I was through,
‘Cause the textbook says I shouldn’t be so blue,
But it hurts, damn it, it hurts,
Makes me want to rip out the heart that is my curse.

It’s the second time I have to write in my lifetime,
The second time the pain it’s so deep to bear, to keep it in,
It’s the second time when I feel like I might die if I don’t,
And it’s the second time writing about the boy with the wood’s eyes,
That should have been my own.
