Listen to poem:
I could rage
I could cry
but what’s the use
do I hate cancer
for what it did to us?
you bet!
it robbed us blind
it left a gaping hole
an emptiness
that’s inescapable
truth is I’d rather live
with the void of you
than whitewash any of your love
no, we didn’t let cancer
get the best of us
we refused to live in fear
we managed to treasure
every moment
let go of all regrets
forever I’ll keep
your memory alive
‘cause in my heart
you’ll always be
I have so much to do
before it’s time
but no matter when or where
I will be ready
adorned in my finest gown
with flowers in my hair
for you to take my hand and
walk me down the aisle
that glorious second time
