I'Ll Be Seeing You

I whisper "Take Care", as I hold you & say "Goodbye",
You whisper "I'll be seeing you, please try not to cry".
I never want to let you go, when you deploy,
But hearing "I'll be seeing you", almost brings me joy.
I know that while you're gone, it will be hard for both of us,
I know that I'll be seeing you, so I'll try not to make a fuss.
The pain of missing you, it never seems to go away,
Even though I'll be seeing you, how I wish you could stay.
You kiss me tenderly, then whisper "I Love You",
I reply with "I'll be seeing you and I Love You too".
The time has come for you to leave, I call out my last goodbye,
You turn to me and say again, "I'll be seeing you, on that you can rely!

You have done it again Kay! Great romantic poem, but sad.

Thank you, Rick. Yeah, it is a sad and romantic one. However, it's also true. Keep Smiling. Kay

That's the way it is, all right. Glad it's only memories and other people's nice writing for me anymore. God bless our military families. Thanks, Dave
