I'Ll Be Back
Where were you
when I was down
And needed you
to lend me a hand?
Where were you
when I was weak
And needed to
lean onto you?
Where were you
when I was lonely
And needed you
to be by my side?
Where were you
when I was beset
with doubts and fears
And needed you
to comfort me?
I was ditched like
the old yard furniture;
And I promised then,
I'll be back!
Now I have come to
depend upon myself
And need you no more.
Now I stand alone --
Firm and bold,
Redoubtable,
Resolute;
Fight I have to
And fight I will.
In struggle is life,
And to hell with
lucks and chances!
