Ike, a Moody Wind
Ike, A Moody Wind
Written: by Tom Wright

The moody wind can cover like pall
Always unseen but spewing forth sound
It comes as a breeze and also a squall
Where does it originate, where is it bound?
Its devastation is its trademark of time
While a butterfly floats for all to see
As we hear its effect on a buoy’s chime
But when in a mood it will uproot a tree
At what point does wind start or even end
Just one of the questions I pose to you now
And at what point does a tree break not bend
God only knows the why and the how.
