Ignored and Rejected

IGNORED AND REJECTED

A colder climate
Is there anywhere
Than in a family
With no one to care?

A colder climate
Doubt you’ll detect
Than in same family
Mother they neglect

A colder climate
Not anywhere on earth
Than where…Mom’s ignored,
By child they gave birth!

Spoken like a mother who has seen this happen or had it happen to them. Children are our greatest joy but they can break our hearts into a million pieces. This poem is so profound. Wonderfully written Barbara! : )

The very coldest and harshest climate for sure Barbara. How utterly sad that any child should ignore and reject a parent when that parent now needs them.. A beautifully expressed heartbreaking poem! Warmest wishes. ~Susan

Susan, sad because time is not as available as his generous gift giving. Out of town or country. I just miss what use to have. I have funny poems to cheer you up. Thanks for sharing comments that encourage me to be courageous in sharing things not funny.

That is very sad, but humans have emotions, which mean they behave in ways that does not please everyone....
