If You Were the Sun
To what do I owe this pleasure dear Sir
I'm seriously longing to bid you hello
if you were the Sun in my path, I'd confer
before the last ray of night loses glow
I'd guide you to roses of beauty and grace
then write you a poem in eloquent style
by a waterfall fountain we'd sit and enlace
while the sun shines above all the while
May I lean on your shoulder and may I draw near
for a sweet little sonnet of love and romance
can we sit in the garden where roses bloom dear
and soak in the beauty of a morning's, slow dance
To what do we owe this rare moment of day,
perhaps to a glance, from a heart throb away.
