If You Were Me For a Day
If you were able to hear my thoughts,
and feel what I felt on a daily basis,
you'd understand.
You'd understand why I am how I am.
You'd understand why I'm so terrified of letting people close to me.
You'd understand why I'd rather sleep all day.
At least when I'm sleeping I'm not being reminded how worthless I am.
Until you can read my mind and feel what I feel,
don't you dare tell me you understand what I'm going through.
