If You Should Know Me
Once concealed like a devil
In the body of a serpent
As an apple of sin
In the hands of temptation
For all I bear my heart
For all I bear my heart to see
the flint
To be ignited
Into a burning flame
That tells me Look, Listen and
Learn
Come search my soul
For non-existence virtues
For non-existence approval
Devouring all my goodness
With what do I shut my pain
with?
If not with anger
Anger captures my soul
Blinds my spirit
Blessed will I be
In the unborn day
Thrilled by sunrise frightened
by hatred
Hurt by rejection
Saddened by pain
Warmed by love
Because i've known despair
I then value hope
Because i've tasted frustration
I then value fulfilment
Because i’ve been lonely
I then value love...
