If You Knew
If you knew my past
the wonders and things I've seen
trials and tribulations of when and where I've been
it would amaze you but you don't ask.

escapades and experiences both good and bad
illusions and delusions, the magic I once had
erased by time and memories blocked territories.
In my heart it's all still there
remembered but locked and stored away
mysterious and mystical thoughts held at bay
ready for the taking with much more left to spare.
If you knew what I have treasured
the good, the bad, the ugly and beautiful
the not living life as usual
the lessons learned by which all is measured.
If you knew...
