If You Knew

If you knew.
 If you only knew,
I wouldn't be on my knees begging for you.
If you only listened,
 you wouldn't have left.
 If you miss me,
 you would have come back.
If I wanted to hurt so badly,
I wouldn't have said these things to you.
 So clearly,
you misunderstood.
If you really love me,
then I wouldn't be the one on my knees.
 You would be.

A warm welcome Olivia to PoetrySoup I offer to you. I wish for you the best in your writing endeavors whatever they may be. May you find inspiration by reading some of the poetry written here by other poets. Read and comment on their's and they will return in kind. May the sun shine on you that you might find great joy in your life. Love and blessing always, Carol
