If We Must Part
If we must part my love...let it be like this;
arouse me with a subtle caress,
Intoxicate me …
leave me a drunken fool in love.
~
If we must part,
do not leave me in
early morning’s shrouded haze,
still enslaved
on the fringes of night’s sleep...
if we must part.
~
If we must part,
let it be walking hand in hand
on serenity’s shore,
as the moonlight dances
‘cross an unruffled sea.
Say no words to me…
let eyes to soul speak;
for mere words are impotent
where love resides.
~
Remember
the hush between our lips…
the oath of our consummation;
cherish the stillness my love...
if we must part.
~
Say you'll return to me,
and all will be as it was...
even if the words are untrue,
say it is so...my love...
If we must part.
~
