If We But

If we but relinquish
fears we choose to cling to,
opting for cessation,
be assured oh hermit,
we’ll feel bliss sensation.

If we but relinquish
desires of fickle heart,
by holding firm focus,
rapid is soul’s ascent,
along the love locus.

If we but relinquish
the moment that’s gone by
and simply feel God’s breath,
that keeps us now alive,
we’ll have no dread of death.

If we but relinquish
cause that makes us stagnate,
we be and so become,
one with the universe,
as bliss beats within hum.

With a trained mind I'm sure we can achieve all those goals. Interesting and thought provoking verse US. Tom

Can we face death without fear? A few can do it. Loved your poem. Blessings.

Fear of death surmounts all other fears but yes, it can be transcended
