If tonight was the night
that I asked you to be my wife
it seems so right
Because I am ready to start a new life
Yes, a new life with you
while enjoying the view
of having you by my side
But it would not be right
to show you my hand
So in the meantime I am coming up with a master plan
A plan to take your hand as I promise to be your man
Through the thick and the thin
Making sure I mend
All the broken pieces
until the very end
Because I want to be your man
and even your best friend
While we enjoy this love coaster
laughing, joking and even crying
I will be your heart with ears
you can whisper to me all your secrets and fears
take my shoulder girl, it's yours
I promise to be your protector and provide all your needs
Being that romantic guy you want me to be
Surprising you with flowers
planning picnics under a Willow Tree
Even taking exotic trips
with meals we cannot pronounce, Mi Amore
because you deserve the world
So do not go far
please stay near
Yes, near my heart
making sure we are never far apart
Because no matter how far you are
you will always be in my heart
I even pray that if I do not see another day
that you understand that on this day
I was the happiest man ever to be able to say
Yes, I do love you more and more each day.
