If Time Were To End

If Time Were To End

If time were to end
Even if nothing else existed
If all of reality disappeared in a flash
I know the my heart would keep beating
It would keep my memories alive
Showing the moments I spent with you
The moments of happiness
The moments where we cried in each other’s arms
And when a new reality emerged
It would know nothing of us who came before
Still my heart would be beating
My memories of you would remain
It would know of you
And how I loved you
