If Time Were On My Side
if time were on my side
i would caress the beauty
of your touch
as if it were all
that i could ever feel
if time were on my side
i would know that this day
this moment
was all that i mattered
the only illusion we value is tomorrow
if time were on my side
i would count the dollars less
and share the pennies more
with those that have not
without time nothing becomes everything
