If This Would Be My Last Day

If this would be my last day 
I would not want to meet 
Any of my near & dear ones
If this would be my last day 
I would not text any of my vanished friends 
If this would be my last day
I would not eat anything special 
or what I love to taste 
If this would be my last day
I would not watch 
My old photographs 
If this would be my last day
I would not be nostalgic 
Or in sad state 
If this would be my last day
I would not leave any letter 
Even if I died, I wouldn't want 
to see who've cried, I wouldn't want
to hear who said what on my funeral 
I wouldn't want to know 
Who is remembering me 
'cz if this would be my last day 
I would want everything to last 
with this day

Eve Roper August 30, 2020 at 10:42 AM Both Silent one & Probir are very correct. Such a sad and deep poem. But my sweet friend I hope this is just a verse and not the way you feel... Life is to preciouses to think of leaving. A different direction I would walk to lift my spirits and stay away from those that would make me feel this way... If the verse was true.
