If There Was a God

if there was a god
i would talk to it every day
i would have so many questions
i would lie in arms so tender
i would cry and be comforted
i would ask for help and it would come
i would ask for help for others and it would come
i would ask for reason
i would know more
i would know why

i would be told
i would not be free
i would not be just myself
i would never be alone
i would not learn myself

sometimes i want god
most times i just want me
